A Strong Start in Pre-K at Salah Tawfik School

At Salah Tawfik Elementary and Middle School (STEMS), our Pre-K program provides a strong foundation for your child’s educational journey, rooted in our mission to “provide quality education in the best Islamic environment.” Guided by our vision, we nurture confident, spiritually strong, and academically capable Muslim youth who feel a deep sense of belonging in their school and community.

Recognized as one of the top-rated VPK programs in Broward County, our Pre-K program blends academic excellence with Islamic values, ensuring that children are prepared not only for kindergarten but also for a life of faith, purpose, and growth. Our curriculum aligns with both Florida Early Learning and VPK standards, while also prioritizing tarbiyah—the holistic nurturing of the mind, heart, and soul.

 

Our Curriculum Supports Whole-Child Development

Academic Foundations

Children explore early math and literacy skills through engaging, hands-on experiences. Tools such as math mats, counting bears, letter cards, and pattern blocks help spark curiosity and build a love for learning.

 

Language & Communication

Themed books, songs, and daily storytelling develop listening, speaking, and pre-writing skills—laying the groundwork for strong communication in both English and Arabic.

 

Islamic Integration & Tarbiyah

Faith is seamlessly woven into every part of the day. Students engage in daily Qur’an memorization, Arabic instruction, and lessons in Islamic manners (adab). Teachers model compassion, respect, and kindness, guiding children in how to embody Islamic values in everyday interactions.

 

Social & Emotional Growth

Through group activities and play-based learning, children build cooperation, confidence, and empathy. Teachers nurture emotional regulation, problem-solving, and character-building as part of daily routines.
