Middle School at STEMS
At Salah Tawfik STEM School, our middle school program (Grades 6–8) combines academic excellence, STEM education, and Islamic values. Students engage in advanced math, hands-on science, and meaningful literature while building strong digital and critical thinking skills. Faith is integrated across the curriculum, nurturing character, leadership, and a deep sense of purpose. With high expectations and a supportive environment, STEMS prepares students to excel in high school and lead with confidence and faith.
Social Studies
In partnership with a leading provider of innovative social studies curricula, Into Social Studies engages students with vibrant, grade-level magazines and interactive activities that bring history, geography, and civics to life. This dynamic, literacy-rich program blends nonfiction content with critical thinking and inquiry-based learning, helping students build a deep understanding of the world around them. By making global connections and exploring diverse perspectives, learners develop the contextual knowledge and skills they need to become informed, empathetic, and active citizens.
Science Grades 6–8
Our middle school science program uses ScienceFusion, a cutting-edge curriculum designed to foster inquiry, STEM fluency, and critical thinking. Students engage with interactive digital lessons, virtual labs, and write-in textbooks that promote hands-on exploration and real-world problem-solving. From physical and life sciences to earth and space, every topic is taught with relevance and rigor to spark curiosity and deepen understanding. This approach not only prepares students for advanced science courses but also cultivates the skills needed for future careers in STEM.

Language Arts
Our middle school English Language Arts program uses Collections by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, a leading curriculum that strengthens students’ abilities to analyze complex texts, support arguments with evidence, and communicate with clarity and purpose. Designed for Grades 6–12, this blended digital and print approach offers rich, diverse selections of fiction, nonfiction, and informational texts that challenge students and reflect their world. With a focus on critical thinking and meaningful discussion, students become thoughtful readers, confident writers, and effective communicators.

Math Grade 6-8 Go Math! Â
Our middle school math program uses Go Math! by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, a research-based curriculum aligned with the Florida Standards. This program builds conceptual understanding, problem-solving skills, and fluency through interactive lessons, real-world applications, and differentiated instruction.
Go Math! supports English language learners, promotes 21st-century skills, and includes tools like the Personal Math Trainer® to personalize learning for each student.
