PTO (Parent Teacher Organization)
PTO at STEMS
At Salah Tawfik Elementary and Middle School (STEMS), our Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) is more than a support group—it is a vibrant part of our school family. The PTO plays a vital role in strengthening the connection between home and school, ensuring that our children thrive in a nurturing, faith-filled environment.
The PTO partners with teachers and administration to bring families together, create memorable experiences, and foster a spirit of service and collaboration. Their work reflects our shared commitment to education, community, and the pleasure of Allah (SWT).

What the PTO Does
- Enhances the School Experience
From Eid celebrations and school picnics to robotics events, staff appreciation, the science fair, graduation, and Star Night, the PTO helps make every year special.
The STEMS Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a group of volunteers who work closely with teachers and administrators to provide the best possible school experience for all students. It offers parents and caregivers a greater opportunity to participate meaningfully in their child’s education through direct involvement in the school. The PTO sponsors and organizes all school events—such as Sports Day, quarterly Award Ceremonies, Star Night, Graduation, and more. It also hosts fundraising events for the school, including the annual STEMS PTO/School Picnic. All parents and guardians are encouraged to join and participate. Joining the PTO is one of the best ways to stay informed and actively engaged in your child’s school journey.
- Supports Enrichment
Through fundraising events and donation drives, the PTO provides resources for field trips, classroom needs, and extracurricular activities that enrich student life. - Empowers Parents
The PTO offers a platform for parents to share their voices, ideas, and concerns, creating unity, respect, and shared responsibility within our school community. - Models Islamic Values
Rooted in the values of community support and shura (consultation), the PTO reminds us that working together in service brings barakah (blessing) to our efforts.
Join Us in Making a Difference
Every parent is welcome—whether you can volunteer regularly, help with a single event, or simply share your ideas. Your involvement strengthens our school and inspires our children to see the power of teamwork, compassion, and faith in action.
Together, as parents, teachers, and leaders, we nurture not just the minds of our students but also their hearts—guiding them to grow with knowledge, character, and love for Allah (SWT).
