PTO (Parent Teacher Organization)

The STEMS Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a group of volunteers who work closely with teachers and administrators to provide the best possible school experience for all students. It offers parents and caregivers a greater opportunity to participate in a meaningful way in their child’s education through direct involvement in the school. The PTO sponsors and organizes all school events, such as Sports Day, quarterly award Ceremonies, Star Night, Graduation, and more.

The PTO also organizes and hosts fundraising events for the school, such as the STEMS PTO/School Picnic. All parents and/or guardians are encouraged to join and participate in PTO. Joining the PTO is a great way to stay aware and involved with the current events in your child’s school. STEMS is a community school and it is imperative that we remain at the center of our community to continue to develop our children’s Muslim identity and sense of belonging. This is the place where the community gathers, learns, and provides opportunities for families to connect and grow together.

Community

STEMS administration holds ‘Coffee with Admin’ and other events where STEMS admin and parents meet and share their ideas, discuss issues, and voice their concerns. Movie nights, picnics, regular parenting trainings, and a book club by our beloved PTO volunteers are some of the activities we enjoy as a STEMS community.
